The most amazing thing about Israel is the enormous amount of archaeological sites,
their importance and the historical significance of this land in comparison to its small size.
For thousands of years the Land of Israel was at the mercy of each Empire which conquered the region due to its strategic location. During repetitive waves of conquest and war the Jewish people remained determined and rebellious, unwilling to let go of its independence and religion. Finally it turned the land into a modern and prosperous state.
The survey in Israel lasted two years. It included about 84 sites of all historical periods, from Timna in the south to Mt. Hermon in the north.
For me, it was a moving personal experience to discover the rich past of my country through the various sites found almost everywhere in this land.
